My journey started in Chicago Illinois, where I was born. My Mother is of Swedish descent and Father of Scottish, the whole family is artistically/musically inclined, so my love of art and music comes naturally. Going to D. S. Wentworth School in Chicago, I won a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago and that started my love affair with painting at a very young age. Being a single parent and working as a Graphic Illustrator and moon lighting as a drummer in a band left little time for painting in the past. I have recently retired and moved from California to Tennessee and will now have time for my first love painting. I am a  member of the National Watercolor Society (NWS) , Tennessee Watercolor Society and Creative Paw (Creative Professionals for Animal Welfare). I have taken many art and design classes in college and attended numerous art seminars across the United States. Watercolor/Mixed Media is my preferred medium, but I also create works in Acrylics. My paintings have won awards and have been juried in various regional and national exhibitions. Many of my paintings are in private collections in Illinois, Tennessee, Arkansas, California, Florida, Canada, Texas, Georgia, Alaska and Nevada.
